Whether you live to ride water or just like the idea of boating on it, we've got the boat and water "wake" sport for you. Our Mastercraft X-80's not only kick up a wake that makes other boats envious, they also get you from point A to point B in a heartbeat. Customers of all ages and experience levels can enjoy the best of both worlds here — wakesurfing, wakeboarding, wakeskating, and/or tubing while enjoying the majestic backdrop of Lake Tahoe. Wakesurfing - is using a specially designed foam topped wake surfboard to surf the wake "wave" generated by a ballasted boat. Boat speed is slow and ranges from 9-14 mph. The rider uses a tow rope to pull themselves out of the water, but once the rider has their balance they release the rope and surf the wake just as if they were surfing in the ocean!
Wakeboarding - is using a specially designed board that resembles something between a surfboard and a snowboard. The rider stands sideways with the feet strapped to the board. The speed varies between 18-23 mph. The rider can either carve around the water or use the wake as a 'jump.' To stand up, you simple sit in the water with the 'toeside' edge of the board facing upward and the boat pulls you up.
Wakeskating - is using a specially designed board that resembles a skateboard. The rider is free to move around and uses either regular shoes or can choose to go barefoot. This is very similar to wakeboarding but the rider is not attached to the board by any means. The speed varies between 18-23 mph. The rider gets up the same way as wakeboarding and carves around on the water while attempting to perform tricks.
Tubing - is great for all ages! 1-3 riders simply sit or lay down on a donut shaped inflatable tube while getting pulled by the boat. The boat can go slower for younger aged individuals or fast for the thrill seeker out there!
